About Epitalon Amidate
Epitalon Amidate is the amidated form of epitalon, the synthetic tetrapeptide Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly. The name is also spelled epithalon, and the amidated sequence is sometimes searched as AEDG-NH2.
Epitalon was designed from the amino acid composition of epithalamin, a peptide extract of the pineal gland. This listing is the version with an acetylated N-terminus and an amidated C-terminus, Ac-Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly-NH2. The reference values are molecular formula C16H25N5O9 and molecular weight 431.40 g/mol.
It is supplied as lyophilized powder in a single sealed vial, 10 mg. Store at −20 °C, protected from light.
A certificate of analysis is published for each lot. This material is for in vitro laboratory research use only.
